Hey guys,

Since my friend from texas give me a brand new aimshot red dot,a value of 150$ for free :),i decide to put it on the rear sight of my sks,so i looked at the scout scope mount, but damn at 120$ its too much expensive.

So i made my own one,im not a machinist but i have acces to a machine shop so i said to myself let's go do it yourself, and now to finish it 2 details and a powder coat on it and it will be 100% done.

After 2 hours at the machine shop and 5$ for a RIS rail, here what it look like :

Well done ! Looks good. Let us know how it worked out at the range. Careful as you may have to build some for the rest of us! I wish I had access to a machine shop!

Feel the same way. Hence mine has no optics...yet. You might just start a trend here. Do let us know how it fares. And if it works, you can provide more details about the design or consider making them. Big ups on your initiative and idea.

Ready for powder coating

Nice job! If you chop off the rail in front and move the nut/knob (whatever it is on the way of a gas tube lever) to the other side, you will be able to disassemble the rifle without taking out the scope.

Yeah i tried to do it,but the rail wont let the lever go up and let the gas tube going to it's place. But the thing i did it's i can take off just the rail and leaving the mount there and im able to do it,just have to re-crew the rail at it's place after.
