Just put the scope on it and haven't shot it since all the work...I have owned this gun since new and the way it was originally it shot well under 1"...most of the time 3 shot group touching at 100yrds.

The the bolt handle work was done by Dave Jennings, the fluting by KS Arms and the trigger job, bedding, blasting and powder coating by Corlane Sports.

Ultramag the Edge design refers to the make up of the stock, you can get the stock in whatever shape you want. Mine is the exact same as the Remington Mtn rifle stocks, but if you want a picture I can get one for you.

I was under the impression that the Edge stock was a BR type stock, except for the new Hunter's Edge which is a lightweight (22-24 oz. I believe) hunting stock. I just took possession of a Rem 700 Mtn rifle stock from them as well although mine doesn't have the nice web pattern on it - just plain old black. Was a steal at $300.00 US shipped compared to the Hunter's Edge at $540.00 + shipping - plus the added benefit that this one was in stock while the Hunter's Edge would have been a 6-8 week wait.

Very nice looking rifle BTW :) . Any idea what the weight saving is with the milled out bolt handle and the fluted bolt?

The Edge refers to the material they use in the stock, lightweight graphite or something. You can get any style of stock with the "Edge technology" in it, but it does cost more....$499 US for the stock including the painting of it.

As far as weight savings, I am not sure...I dont have a scale. I did a comparision thought to my Kimber which weights 6lbs 10ozs and w/o the scope on the M700 it was noticably less.

I would say I have about $2300ish into the gun now with the scope.

The barrel is stock on it, but I have owned the gun since new and it was a real good shooter before...hope this makes it better.

I know how you feel about the DM Tod, but I had to work with what I had and if I could have changed it I would have....but I have never had any feeding problems or issues with loosing mags (I carry a spare just in case).

actually I dont hate DM all that much, just prefer hinged floorplates myself. The Remington DM system seems pretty good tho.

now all you need is a 25" Gaillard barrel ;)

PS, what's it weigh??

The barrel will come but I have put a pile of money into it right now so I need to hold off till after hunting season then I will get done during the winter...get the action blueprinted as well while its all apart.

Not sure of the weight as I dont have a scale but it is lighter than my Kimber that weights 6lbs 10ozs...both w/o the scope.
