Guess?
I went a little crazy this past month, as I really got into collecting the main battle rifles of WWII. Granted, the M1 is from '54, but close enough for me. :)

Below are:
No4Mk1* LongBranch (NZ mark)
No4Mk1 Sporter (originally my fathers and what got me going)
Mosin Nagant M91/30
RC MAuser K98 (German markings intact)
M1 Garand (H&R)

I have a 1954 MK11 coming soon...and that should complete my collection...:D

Get her involved in it & soon she'll be on the hunt for milsurps for you as presents.... :p

Well, a guy can dream can't he?

For some, it doesn't have to be a dream - just introduce them gently - explain with whatever twist interests them - for my gf it was getting her shooting a .22 -> she was amazed how hard it was to hit something, but how quickly you can learn and adapt, and how much it challenged her. For others it's the history behind them, where they were taken, what challenges the individuals grandparents faced while holding that rifle, etc etc etc.

I'd suggest buying her a nice inexpensive .22 - most women are put off shooting when they're given some big caliber rifle and are beaten black and blue with no result other than mild hearing loss and an unmarked target.

I could be preaching to an already lucky member though - in any event, I gotta say it again - Nice Collection!
