My Jungle Carbine / FR8. Frankengun

Hi everyone. To start, before anyone throw rocks at me , I must say That I started this project from a BUBBAED ( not by me ). Lee Enfield No 5 Jungle Carbine. No original rifle was used to do this project !

Since I like the Lee Enfield removable magazine, action and bent bolt but also like the look of the front part of the Spanish Mauser FR8 I have decided to combine both in one rifle. project is not finished yet but working on it. Still have to tread muzzle to install a birdcage muzzle break

I was thinking something similar, wouldn't necessarily have to be jungle carbine.

Jungle stock suits it. Now for some sort of muzzle brake/Bayo lug.

If I could find an original. FR8 Birdcage muzzle beak or one of similar outside diameter, I could fit the FR8 bayonet but they are a ##### to find .

Maybe a FAL flash hider. Bayonets are fairly common and the lug is built into the flash hider.

Don't forget the fr8 is a training rifle for the CETME, who's flash hiders seem common down in the states. irunguns could probably bring one up if the companies won't ship direct.

Very nice! I like how you took someone's Bubba job and turn into something nice. If you sell it, pm ,me this is the kinda rifle I would buy anyday!

303 British and I also have a chamber adaptor to shoot .32 acp in it.
