My Lab Radar is shipping yay!

I've was lucky to get a preproduction model in April, it's been working really well.

Just an update on the Lab Radar! I now have had it out twice first time I did not have time to fabricate proper base stand but still managed to get readings on my .338LM hand loads. I stabalized the unit by hand while Swissinn did the shooting it was awkward not having the proper stand for prone shooting and barely reading the instructions. Once I started figuring it out I could see the potential of this unit. The results were very satisfying ES was 6 FPS:0!

Second time out I had fabricated a quick makeshift base with an old lexan sign holder and Jobi tripod ball head it worked great! Although my friend will be fabricating a more professionel looking one in the near future. This time the Lab Radar worked excellent with the proper base providing rigid support for accurate target alignment.

The results were very telling especially not getting anomalies with changing lighting or POA shifts. On the 100m target the results are much more consitant then with the chrony or other simular products I have tried. The .308 hand loads I tested had neck tension issues and it showed in a few shots the ES was way to high resulting in .7 plus results in the groups with vertical stringing. I highly recommend this unit very very happy with it!

Just got the notification that mine will be here on Friday.

Was using the MagnetoSpeed to work up a load this weekend. What a PITA!

We'll have ours soon as they have been shipped to us. Looking forward to evaluation.

Additionally, a regional engineer has converted conventional optical-reading chronographs to acoustic, increasing accuracy. Interesting stuff.

Regards,

Peter

Mine arrived today, a day early. Just in time for some 6x47L 300y load tuning.

Forgot to order the case for it. Doh! Well, off to Best Buy for a laptop case and a USB battery pack...
