some questions:

1. is there anything special i should do before sooting it?
2. what about breaking it in?
3. where's the best place to buy parts ie. mags and such?
4. where can i get a big tube of the lube that somes with the pistol?
5. is there anything else i shold be careful of?

many thanks to Ryan form Wolverine for selling me the pistol and for his very speedy shipping!!!

When I get a brand new autoloader, the first thing I do is field strip it and inspect all the interior for burrs (which can be quite common). In finding any burring, I then carefully remove them with a SMALL machinists (jewelers) file, clean away all filings, and reassemble with either a molybdenum disulphide or graphite bearing grease on all the sliding contact surfaces. Greases are for use in warm temperatures only, in sub zero conditions they can deterr the action from cycling properly. Now you are ready to shoot; put 200 to 300 rounds through it, strip, clean away all the grease, then ligtly oil or grease as per personal preference.

You'll absolutly love that gun!
They were fresh out of'em when I was look'n
so I pick'd up a 220 all stainless.
Hang onto it, Sig doesn't make them any more.

thecollector:

thank you for the great info

WithoutWarning:

i happened to call at the right time just 1 or 2 days after it arrived there. needless to say i bought it immediatly!!! and they don't make them anymore??? wow i guess i got lucky on this one!!

cheers,
mike

To Clarify;
Sig isn't making the "ST" (all stainless) models anymore.
They're not even on the SigArms site either.
If you want an all stainless Sig, it'll have to be the X5!...droool...droool...droool
for $35XX.

well my longterm ATT finally came in the mail today!!!! not bad it only took a week and a half from the time i faxed it in. im hoping to get out to the range later on this week and will post pics of the results
