God damn does it feel good. Pretty excited to take it to the range tomorrow and try it out. have heard from accuracy of 3MOA to under 1MOA. Depending on optics and ammo quality !

One thing I noticed, way to easy to clean... Took it down cleaned and re oiled today. Wow that was simple.

Now the many, many, many options of optics and grips ect Im going to use. I was thinking bipod and an Angled fore grip for sure. As for an optic looking for a 600-1000 price range with a little zoom 4x maybe? Who knows this will be great fun!

For those who have them, what gas setting do you run ?

It will also be hitting some shockwave targets :D

Side note its a 5.56

That is one hot rifle there man. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I got my tavor. Finally got the rifle I always wanted. I always take it to the range now, always comes with me in the bush (in lawful areas of course) and to the gf's brothers private range when we go visit. Congrats on the new rifle. Love the refer stripe too!

thanks guys ! Ive taken her to the range, realized expensive rifles like good ammo... WOW does it ever make a difference, 2 MOA with irons with 55 Grain American eagle ammo, ran out of that... Used some Chinese surp I picked up... GARBAGE ! lucky to get 8 MOA with that ! HOLY ! Over all, love the rifle! Super smooth to shoot, cant wait to make some custom loads for it. Get some critters and have fun blasting paper !

For the record, Chinese Norinco 55 gr Surplus has netted me around 1.8 MOA at 75 yards, fired from a rest with an Eotech and Magnifier. Running at gas setting 2 for everything, swapped to remington .223, had a few stove pipes, back up to 3. I'm not at 2800 rounds, and only 4 stove pipes early on, and an exploded case.

I was having stove pipes on 2, went to 3. Im sure you can get 1.8, my batch is terrible. Im going to guess its VERY hit and miss with the ammo... Mind you I was shooting from prone with front sand bag and irons. I have a ton more, and will prolly pick up another crate cuz its so cheap. I will def be getting some bulk American eagle though !

Also if anyone can point me to keymod accessories or the nuts for slapping rails into this puppy id love it. What do you find best sling set up is ?

American Eagle is decent bulk ammo but if you want to see what the rifle can do you better be prepared to spend a lot more. Is it a 7 or 9 twist barrel? I'd try some 62, 68, and 75 grain ammo and see what it does with that. Might wait till after you have an optic on it though. Look for ammo that says MATCH on the box and get ready to spend $1/shot or more. If it does well with one of those you'll want to start thinking about getting into handloading. I shoot bulk most of the time and then pull out the handloads when I want to make smaller groups. No sense wasting the good stuff banging gongs at 100 yards.
Keep shooting it on 3 and try going to 2 every now and then, as it breaks in you should be able to cut it back. Just use the lowest setting that gives you reliable function.

Nice looking rifle, have fun with it.

Thanks, yea that's the plan with the ammo. I will buy surplus for days im doing run and gun practice, AE for days im out just target shooting and match ammo in 223 or 556 I can pick up for days im target shooting.

Im really torn on what type of optic to put on, I would be doing just 100-300 yard plinking and the irons are fine for that, red dot with some mag would be sweet. The odd time I would like to hunt with it though, I might need to get a scope to drop on for the day.

EDIT the twist is 1/9

The Vortex PST would be a good option but if you want to save a little money have a look at the Hi-Lux CMR from Wolverine. They are $400 plus tax and when I was shopping for a 1-4 I found it had the most features and was pretty much the best bang for the buck. I love the reticle and the fact that it has zero-stop turrets and illumination along with some pretty darn clear glass for a $400 scope made me give it a try. I still have it. I bought the 223 version originally then traded it with another CGN'r for the 7.62AK version to use on my 300 Blackout.
Put it in a QD Burris PEPR or your favorite QD cantilever mount so you can switch back to your irons when you want. I have personally never used my irons since getting the optic as it can do everything from 10 yards out to 300-400 yards no problem (further if your eyes are better than mine or depending on your target size).

QD sling socket in the back, BCM Gunfighter KeyMod Picatinny Nylon Rail Section, 3 inches, 15 bucksish, for the rails, I just use one for a grip, and another for a QD sling rail mount. Running a BFG VCAS, I swap it in and out with a LBT two point sling.
