So I finally took the sling off my Winchester 1917 and put it on my M-14. Haven't had the money to buy a proper sling due to a career change so finally just switched over. Wow. I'd forgotten how much difference it makes. I think I took two inches off my seated group just with the sling.
Anyone have any ideas on offhand shooting the M-14? That clip really gets in the way of a proper offhand stance.
Finally, I've got an 18 1/2 inch barrel which I am going to install as soon as my assistant gets back from Hawaii (if he ever comes back, the s.o.b.). Planning on a Vortec flash suppressor, probably the Navy iron sight. Looking forward to the different look.
