I hunt often with my m1a and Garand. As far as ammo goes I only use hand loads. Nothing better than stalking around the bush with a milsurp. Had an argument the other day about the hunting abilities of M14s and Garands. I've bagged enough big game with them.

It came installed on my Springfield, I'm currently using a NM flashider with bayo mount on my M1A.

Ah cool, so does it really reduce recoil but makes it bang louder on your shorty? Im thinking of getting the same Springfield muzzle brake from Brownells but not sure yet because a lot of folks say it makes the rifle sound louder without the "ping" sound.

I have 3 of them now and for the money they are pretty good.
Brownells wont ship them to Canada anymore

I don't notice any difference in the sound levels or recoil to be honest. I'm not sensitive to either and have never tried to distinguish any difference
