Well at long last and after scrounging parts I've got it done, except final sanding and paint. Then a sling and a vertical foregrip and I'm in business.

Still have my original Skullboy handguard on in the pic (relax, I didn't chop a Skullboy stock to build this rig) but it's soon to be replaced.

ahh. i like seeing projects as they're happening.i imagine you've fitted everything to your own personal liking? as a biguglyman:D the pistol grip must fit your hand better.i am curious what you did to mate the stock to the tsa 870 adapter as i'm wanting to try something simular if my confidence is up to it.

I lined up the adaptor and stock and tried to figure out what angle would be best. Then I cut it off and fit it again only to find there was too much drop in the stock. I was fortunate that I had also left it quite long. So I figured how much closer to the trigger guard I wanted the adaptor and how much change to the angle then cut it off again. During the second cutting I was out at the Old Man's place so I had help doing it and getting it right. Amazing how much help a second set of hands is. Once it was cut off to the right dimensions I followed Turf's instructions and rebated the stock to accept the adaptor. Once that was right I drilled a hold for the stock bolt and relieved the inside of the stock to accept a nut. Then I mixed up a nice batch of epoxy (not the 5 minute stuff) and got it in between the stock and adaptor and aroudn the sides as best I could. It took about three applications before the large gaps were filled (I could have used JB Weld to fill the gaps, but didn't have any at that point). Then I sanded it up and used JB Weld to fill the area between the adaptor and stock. Then I sanded the works smooth on the 2" belt sander. I attached the front rail with epoxy. If I had been thinking I would have finish sanded the stock on the 2" sander before I put on the front rail. Oh well.

All in all it was nto a hard mod to do and I'd say that anyone that's moderately handy should have no problem with it. Call it a 4 out of 10 for difficulty. Just go slow and you'll be fine.
 
I wonder how much muzzle jump you'll get with the stock angled down like that? I know a few people preferred the brobee adaptor on the 870 because it was in line with the barrel and that reduced the muzzle jump. That shouldn't be a big issue though with the light recoil in this rifle.

Nice project BUM, that must be why you haven't had time to stalk CGN daughters lately! ;)
