My Marlin 336 camo paintjob

Ahem! Cough-cough! Interesting. Cough-cough!

Seriously, it should be effective enough and you have enough layers on there that moisture in the wood or rust on the metal should not be an issue at all. Canadian flag is a nice touch, and you have a decent scope on there too, just don't set that puppy down in the woods, you might not find it again!

Sacrilege! Thanks for the warning. I was too stupid to pay heed.

On the other hand, it is yours, so whatever you do to it, needs only please you. I respect you boldness.

my wife picked up a nice full length antique mirror at the auction. The mirror was all black walnut, painted with glossy black lacquer ... I ask her every year if i can strip the paint of the mirror and bring back that beautiful walnut ... someday she'll cave in ..haha

don't worry, you just made a project for someone, someday that'll bring it back to its glory ...

Thanks for the criticism guys. I was thinking about restoring it. I'm not happy with the paint. I rather add a non permanent protective solution, like a gun sock or something.

Honestly I look at my Original Marlin 336 about once a year to update the cowboy-ish look. I appreciate where your head was at.
Ive had mine apart and ready to ship for a ceracote/armacote/duracote, was shopping for best price... and once I had my best price.... it looked ok just the way it was. I bought another rifle for the cost of the coating.
