My Mossberg 195 Project

I was looking for a new project so I went to visit the local hunting/fishing/archery shop. The guys a bit of a dink but he bought an entire gun collection from an estate so I thought I may find something. I found an old mossberg 195, 12 gauge. It was in hard looking shape but I had a dummy round and it functioned fine. I worked out a trade with the guy for a mint single shot 22 I had around.

Once I got it home I immediately tore it apart. Stripped the metal and sent it to the blue tanks. While I was waiting on the metal I stripped the stock, filled the chips and started the paint. I decided on an urban camo scheme. Altogether I think its a pretty unique project, and with the adjustable choke and ported barrel should be very functional gun.

Nice work, even left the old dawg d*&k on the end eh? I have often thought it would be cool to rifle the barrel on that gun, but then savage came out with the slug warrior and foiled my plan.

I thought about cutting the choke (I think thats what you mean by the "dawg d*$k) off and shortening the barrel, but it's kinda neat. All my other shotguns have cylinder bore so it's also nice to have that option.

Very nice job. My first scattergun was a 195 16ga. Great hunting gun but wasn't a pretty as yours.

Dog D*ck? We always called them the "Horse C*ck" growing up. Lots of technical terms I guess. Looks like a fun gun for sure.

looks awsome! if you make it a dedicated slug gun, drill and tap for a mount, then give the scope the same paint treatment as the rifle.
