Hey guys,

In the absence of the Photo Gallery, just thought I'd post a pic of my new toy. It's gone through a couple of iterations, but I think I'm done now! (Yeah, right!)

DSCF0172.jpg

-Magpul M93B Stock in OD, with HK-style dual loop sling point
-DPMS Lower
-Archor Harvey forged upper
-Colt bolt and carrier
-Magpul MIAD grip in OD
-GG&G A2 BUIS
-Bushnell Holosight
-Wilson 14.5" barrel
-Samson Manufacturing CX-EBR Free Float rail system
-Magpul Ladder and Textured rail covers in OD
-Phantom Flashhider

Any ideas of what to add? This is merely a range/safe queen, so I think I'm already into overkill mode, but man it's fun!

Considering a vertical foregrip (it used to have one in it's previous iteration, but the grip won't fit spec rails), but after feeling it with the Magpul covers, I'm considering leaving it as-is.

Comments? Suggestions? Let me have em!!!! :dancingbanana:

What kinds of rounds are used for 1/7 and 1/9...noob alert?

Right now, my only supply is SA Surplus which is 55grn. My old Norinco AR used to shoot them fine as well (1/12 twist).

The benefit of 1/7 is that you can shoot the longer heavier bullets like 77grn for long range matches.

I think 1/9 is designed for the M855 62grn round. When my supply of 55grn runs out, that's probably the weight I'll go with. I'm sure you can get away with heavier rounds with 1/9 as well, but since I'm not handloading, your factory supply is usually pretty limited to 55 or 62grn (without getting into match rounds).
