Well I got the nicest SKS I've have ever owned from weimajack today. It seems to be a late 1951 model, with a chrome-lined barrel and the later style non-spring bolt and bolt carrier. These photos may not be of much interest to the general viewer, and don't do this SKS justice. The wood is stunning, and the metal is perfect. :):p

Are you sure that it is a chome lined barrel ? I thought that the chrome lined barrels did'nt come out until 1952 ? If its never been fired, then it should be quite noticeable that it is chrome lined.

She is defenatly a 1 for the collection. Has collector's all over it. But the only question mark for me is the gas rod. Painted black or blued?

I can tell you that it is so "new" that there was saw dust and wood fibres stuck to the metal components hidden by the stock, and even under the gas tube. Also, the "hand writing" on the gas tube, gas piston, and perhaps the bolt are of the same hand. I highly doubt the gas piston is a replacement. :)
