Nice, It looks russin, I thought Kin only delt in nork stuff, And I hate to be the one to say this first, You realy should not post pics of your serieal #s.

That's what I though but I deleted some (nice) pics cause I am not sure. I am really wondering what problems could arise.

BTW, lever arms has really nice SKS, not one of them is garbage (about 40 to 50 are displayed behind glass), much nicer than the one I bought at the gun shop here (at a higher price).

My rule number 1 don't trust anyone online. Alot of your personal info is attached to that serial number. There are alot of hacks out there that could use this info. Really the possibilities are endless, from someone knowing where you live to break in and steal the weapon (SKS... maybe not, but what about a more expensive firearm such as a tavor), Also people could use the info for identity theft. You name it if a scumbag could use it they WILL. It would just be in your better intrest to keep any personal info off a public forum. IMO

You could just put a small piece of tape over the serial number in this case.

Could you repost the deleted pictures minus the offending numbers:D? Just curious how the rest of your SKS looks.

Lots of garbage when I bought my SKSs. Guess your timing was good.

explain how they can get my personal info thru my serial number ?

as for my name and address , thats easy to get , just buy something off me on EE. :D

I don't have to explain, If you want to put your serial number on a public forum feel free to do so. With technology these days you have to be very careful with your personal info. In fact my friends credit card was maxed out the other day because he used it quite a bit online. Some ####head charged a bunch of stuff to it. The scammer had some sort of fake ID aswell to make the purchaces. In the end if you open yourself up to scammers they WILL take advantage of you. By not posting personal info your minimizing you chances of being scammed. Somtimes it needs to happen to people to see just how easy it is to be scammed and defenseless you are....your call
 
I just bought a sks from lever on saturday aswell. I couldnt take it right away because of the s/n issue with the cfc, when I returned on tuesday to get it, they had refilled the racks and there was at least 50 more for me to have choosen from. :runaway:

I used dawn and hot water to remove the oil from the parts. It seemed to work well and washed away with nothing left behind. the stock on the otherhand was a little more stubborn and I had to use some fine steel wool and water to get the oil off but I can still feel a little bit of it left. What can I use to get the rest of the stock because I kinda went to hard in one spot and removed some of the finish :redface:
