Like to give a big Thank You for all the compliments!
It is gratifying when everything comes together as this rifle has. I have custom target rifles that shoot as well or better, but they have heavy barrels from Krieger, Pac-Nor, Hart, Shilen and Lothar-Walther. I also load the ammo with in-line dies and pay a lot of attention to small details.
This rifle is a pure hunting iron, and I loaded the ammo with a set of off-the-shelf RCBS dies, did not check for runout, case weights, or any of the other niceties.
The optics, for those curious is a VX-3 3.5-10x40 with the B&C Reticule.
I seated the TTSX .050" off the lands as per Barnes recommended starting distance, charged the cases with my RCBS Chargemaster combo, and went shooting.
The worst group shot so far measures exactly 1", so it will definitely be a sub-moa rifle.
I was out today and shot a 5-shot group with the 180 TTSX. It measures .42" center-to-center.
Now for a hunting iron, I am more interested where the first shot goes from a cold barrel, and this rifle produces what I like...first shot right at the desired point of impact.
Sorry, dead meat, I cannot quit grinning. lol. Regards, Eagleye.
