My new 597 Trigger assembly upgrade

Hello i just got a stainless 597 and was wondering what upgrades i should put on it. I have just bought a Leopold VXII 2-7X33 for my scope. I would like to know if someone makes a better trigger assembly. Its has a heavy stainless barrel so i don't need to upgrade it yet really just looking for a trigger assembly. Who makes them and how much would I need to spend

Any thing elese I should be looking into for it ? Thanks Andrew

There isn't a whole lot in the way of aftermarket parts for the Rem 597 except for a VQ hammer and a VQ extractor. I bought the hammer and it was a big improvement over the factory one.

My new TVP was shipped today and I can't wait to get it. I was just reading the testimonials for the hammer and it sounds like you would be crazy to try and do without (8-10lb trigger?)......So I bought one...........and an extractor. Thank you for the info. The hammers are on back order at rimfire sports right now though.

I just ordered the extractor from HTA, had the rifle for over a year now and the trigger can defenitelly use some improvament; generally I don't feel like pulling that heavy skiny trigger more than 150 times in a row...
