My new Antique Colt 1849. Freshly imported from Texas

I have just bought this little piece of history in Texas and would like to share these pics with you guys and gals . All matching serial number ( made in 1869). For some reasons there is no scene visible on the cylinder and no address on the barrel. The colt patent is barely visible on the left side of the receiver . It is really solid ( no wobbling ) action is tight and crisp with very good bore and nice riflings.

How was the import process? Did you use an importer, or were there special shipping restrictions? (e.g., had to be shipped fedex/ups, etc.)

Imagine what the world looked like when that was manufactured! Now as the world moved on in the US through the Great War, the 20’s, the 30’s, WWII, the 50’s, the 60’s. It’s remarkable.

Given its condition, I wonder what it was doing through all those years...
