Here is my latest purchase. I just put on the Hogue Grips and the "D" spring (thanks again Alex) she shoots flawlessly...this will be my firearm for IPSC I plan on shooting production...

Nice gun. I've got a 92fs and love it. You should watch Lethal Weapon and Die Hard tonight :dancingbanana:

Where did you get your "D" spring? I started another post trying to find one.

Yeah, it must be the movies, I always did like the looks of the Beretta pistols. Thats a fine piece of fire power you bought there.

it's a mainspring from 92fs D model, it makes the trigget pull ligher, well worth it.

Lugger, does the D ring also shorten the length of pull on the trigger?
Can't get used to pulling back so far and "waiting" for the gun to go bang on the first round. Other than that I really like the 92FS...almost as much as my Browning 1935HP "T" series;)

no, it just makes it lighter (sheds off about 4lbs off a DA pull) which should make a difference for you...

I have heard of adjustable 92 triggers, but don't know how well they work...

the adjustable triggers make the gun Single Action Only, except for one version that adjusts for overtravel. The one that adjust pretravel is for the Single Action style.
The D spring reduces that ugly heavy pull of the Beretta pistol. For a truly wonderous pull a serious amount of polishing needs to be done to various surfaces.
you can purchase a "short trigger" for a Vertec and install that, but you aren't changing how far the trigger has to travel, just where that travel starts.

which gun? the one with the D spring? if so, yes you can, it's available from the factory with a D spring. Further, polishing internals is fine as well. the only thing not legal would be different triggers with adjustable set screws. Hell even the Short Trigger is available from Beretta as an option. Or was, when they were making the standard frame guns.
