Hi guys I picked this baby up today From P&D in Edmonton. Put my Leupold 2.5-8X36 on her and a limb saver recoil pad. (I am a recoil wimp) Always wanted a Sako 85. It was this finnlight or a Stainless laminate stocked one. I ended up liking the weight and handiness of the finnlight. Its a 308win for anyone asking.

Right now I am just using Nosler Trophy Grade 165 accubonds and I have some Winchester Supreme 168gr ballistic silver tip. Might do reloads in the future but only using it for deer this hunting season.

Nice hunting setup. I would love to live in an area such as yours that has no calibre restriction. Right now my crossover deer/moose gun is a 270, as it can also be used for coyotes in southern Ontario if need be. But I think a 308 is the perfect gun for that combination. Although the benefit is that it gives me a good excuse to keep a 300 win mag in the safe as a dedicated moose/elk gun :)

There is a caliber restriction where the OP lives (Alberta). We have to use something bigger than .23 caliber:p

Good choice. I've had 6 or 7 Sakos, and another on the way. All have been impressive in accuracy, though they should be.
