Hi all,
I posted this on RFC some time ago but I forgot to post it here, so here I go:
I recently bought a new Deuce 2.0 barrelled action and put in a Manners PRS stock. Topped it with the new March PRS scope.
Those who know me will be a bit surprised as I mainly ventured in BR in the past but I have a close shooting buddy who has begun PRS rimfire competitions some time ago and now swears by it so I will see if I like it. Though, i will surely keep an interest in BR.
This winter I have tried this new Deuce 2.0 only a bit to get a feel of the action and ergonomics of the stock I have choosen. SO far, I am impressed. Today was the first day I did serious ammo testing both at 50 and 100 yards. I tried one lot of center X, one lot of Midas and one lot of Xact. The cheaper center X did better at both distances. I will be doing more tests in the forthcoming weeks and should publish targets.
Best regards to all.

Max Owner: Mine has the classic 1 in 16 twist.
Serle: I have not shot Rim X but I can tell you that compared to a few Vudoos I had, the Deuce 2.0 is really at par. The action feels a bit better built even and tolerances are incredible. Thumbs up to the guys at IBI - Ultimatum.

I tested one not long ago and it’s become my personal choice to recommend for people looking to step into the custom rimfire game in PRS or any match that someone wants to shoot.

I found a random lot of Eley team I had shoot 10 shot groups under 1moa at 50m. Sadly it was too windy to step out further although I did try 100m and shot a 552/600 in windy -5/-10 degree weather so I can’t blame the rifle at all.

Absolutely a great purchase and looking for are to hearing your thoughts as you shoot it more!

When you buy one of those barreled action, what do you need to complete it beside the stock?
A trigger and magazines?
I read that the triggers need a trigger hanger, I don't have any experience with that, can't I just buy a regular Triggertech??
Any missing bolts?

Wcat:
The merchant from which I bought the barrelled action also sold me the trigger ( Triggertech Diamond ) and he graciously installed it for me at my demand. That merchant is Atlantic Precision and his service is top notch. The stock I bought came complete with a DBM bottom metal so the only other thing I needed were magazines. I bought the stock and mags from Tom at GoBig Tactical and, as usual had great service from him.

Triggers install the same way with trigger hangers as they do in standard actions without them. Trigger hangers allow the sear engagement to be adjusted as there are different trigger hangers for different actions and triggers. Dealing with anyone like GBT or any competent smith will sort this out for you. Sounds intimidating but its not!
