A lot of cool stuff you can do if you decide to go the tactical route.

Note worth mentioning; when you rack the slide, grab it near the end of the barrel(at the hand groove), and not up close to the receiver. I tend to grab it to close, and I've managed to take the finish off where it slides over.

Would not grabbing it close, be the more natural, instinctive and efficient way to operate this gun? All of my pumps it seems natural to hold them near the back and awkward to hold them too far forward. You concern seems like driving your car from the back seat because you don't want wear on the front seat;)

wherever you feel it works for you and does not make you short stroke the gun.< screw the finish its a gun not hardwood flooring.

Piece of cake....unscrew the cap on the tube and pull out the barrel, then slide out the forend, no tools required.

Yup its that easy to disassemble.
You should have got a booklet with the break down of the gun with it.

Ps
first thing ( if you didnt already ) take off the tube cap and pull out the mag plug so you can put more ammo in it. :D
unless you use it for hunting .

That's what I have in mind... the Docter is a little pricey, so likely I will go with a Burris. I also didn't get a manual, just the parts guide and the certificate...

I do not have one. I was interested in seeing the innards, the bolt etc. I have no place near to look at one in person:)
