I have an old (c1897) box lock ejector, with rare "ww greener self acting ejector" (no parts in forearm), I will look for a few photos - if I have to dig it out & take pics it will probably go on the EE at the same time.

Here we have a nice old WW Greener 12 gauge, 30" barrels

- Tight & on-face
- Scalloped action
- nicely engraved
- rebated inletting, common on high end guns, only found on scalloped Greeners.
- rare/desireable "Greener Self Acting Ejectors" (seldom seen)

I did buy this gun from a local gunsmith with a very good reputation. I can't imagine him selling me something that was unsafe to fire without telling me so. I am still planning on getting another opinion on it but other than the crack I would be very surprised if It has any real issues. I really have no need to shoot 3" shells anyway so I bought a couple boxes of federal target load 2 3/4. I am taking to another guy this weekend and then to the range.

I don't think anyone is telling you it is unsafe to shoot. We are just recommending that it be checked out to make sure it is in good, safe mechanical condition, same as would be recommended to anyone buying an older gun. If you purchased it from a gunsmith, then maybe it has already been deemed safe. The only other suggestions was to get the obvious crack fixed and that the chambers appear to have been lengthened and the flats restamped. This doesn't make it unsafe to shoot. And again, most feel you did alright for what you paid as Greeners are fine guns.
