Ive been hunting with basically the thing this year (200lb model). I think it shoots better groups than some of my rifles at 30 yards 
I love my Excalibur. But you definately have to try these Broadheads. Took three deer with them last year, and they worked flawlessly, pass through on all different angles, and great blood trails. I have triad all brands and even mechanicals, and these I will stick with forever.

Do not... I repeat... NOT shoot at the same target twice with that bow! You will slam the second arrow into the back of the first (robinhood).
What a superb product. I love mine, and echo the comment above that it will outshoot some of my rifles at 30 yards.

Nice choice in crossbows, I have one too, it will keep you happy . Did you get the right stuff package with it? Sbound is right aim each arrow at a different target, I ruined a few bolts that way when I first got one. If you haven't already checked it out, go to this forum.

Metro, this bow came with everything except the cocking aid and wax for only $679.00. Of course by the time I left BPS I had a $1000 bill though because I cant seem to leave that place with only what I went there for.. lmao!
And yeah I'm looking for a range finder now. BPS has them on sale right now so I might go buy from them if I dont find one on Ebay or here in the Exchange for a good price.

I think you got a deal, Get the cocking aid though if you didn't but it, mostly for the reason that it keep the string perfectly center every time you #### it. I am glad I didn't go the compound bow way, because I know if a deer is within 30 yards I'm going to get a double lung pass through. Since I've had Wild T.V. I feel even better about getting an Excalibur.
There is an Anti about everything in life... I could care less... Whats the whole purpose of a firearm or bow when hunting? Killing your target... I dont know about anyone else but I know when I fire at something I hope I kill it...
I didn't go compound because of several reasons...
1. Excalibur has a far better reputation than any other bow maker and they dont make compounds.
2. When looking at the bows in BPS I had store workers and general customers telling me to stay away from compounds because they are "more troublesome" and "a pain to sight in".
I bought the phoenix about a month ago. Couldn't be happier. Extremely accurate. I've shot a couple Hortons before and they arent as consistantly accurate as this excalibur. My only problem is judging distances, I'm really debating on buying a rangefinder, would be very handy to have.

get the cocking aid as others have said. its handy. i use a excaliber one with my horton 175, it helps a lot. in more ways than just making it easyer to ####. it helps keep the bowstring straight, and consistant each time its cocked. when using your hands they slip and slide a bit and may not get the string in the same place each time. the aid stay put (the slide up the side of the bow) and the string stays centered, and gets pulled evenly on each side.
hope you have more luck with your xbow than i have so far lol. havent got anything with it yet, other than 4 lost bolts. (target practice, and estamating range)
i was lucky getting mine, a guy brought it in to sell cuz he had broken his shoulder, and couldent use it anymore. so it had a excaliber scope, expencive stings on it, limb savers, all cost out the xbow woulda cost me a grand. i got it for $500. havent had any problems with it so far. and i can put bolts within 1/4 inch from 40 yards consistantly.

Here is something for you guys to think about that are considering range finders for bowhunting. Deer key in on movement pretty quick, so the extra movement of pointing the rangefinder at them, then putting it down to pick up your bow, all while they are 30yds or less away, makes it that much more likely they will spot you. I place a marker (distinctive looking stick or rock) in my shooting lane(s) at 20yds when I set up my stands. I can judge my distances very accurately from this one marker, but you could always put one every 10 yds if your not confident. Cheaper than a rangefinder, dead batteries won't be an issue and less movement for the deer to spot.
Robin Hood: I notice you are from TO as am I. The City of Toronto parks department recently banned crossbows from the archery range behind the Ontario Science Centre. I am trying to get the decision turned around and could use more persons calling the Parks manager on this issue. I have now proven to them that crossbows are not firearms and have arranged a range session with the supervisor and manager to demonstrate the actual working of a crossbow (they were unaware that crossbows had safeties. Any other TO crossbow user is asked to assist with this matter if I have to take it to Toronto CIt Council. Thanks for reading.

I just purchased a new Exocet 200 - it's awesome!!! With Right Stuff accessory package, it's everything you need!
Chronographed a 5 shot group for an avg. of 307fps. The bow is listed as up to 330fps. Spoke to Excalibur and they said they used a bolt with the minimum weight of 350gr and a Fast Flight Flemish string to get that result. They told me the Fast Flight string is good for a 10-12 fps increase in arrow speed over the Excel string that comes with the accessory package. The lighter bolt will do the rest (the Fire Bolt carbon arrows with the supplied field points weigh in at about 380gr).
I got mine from The Bow Shop in Waterloo (Shooters Choice). Paid a little more for it there but got great service AND used their indoor range to sight-in and do some practice. The first shot was only 2" high and right - amazing for just mounting the scope! After a few clicks, it was right on - every shot after that!!!! Less than 1" group over 9 shots at 20 yds.
I made the mistake of checking-out prices AFTER I bought it - Grimsby Tackle has the same package for about $80 less but no indoor range.
Can't wait to put a hole in a whitetail with it!!!!!
