So I woke up today and apparently canada post was ahead of schedule with my package from Wolverine, it was out for delivery 2 days early :) Fom invoice date to delivery including remembrance day it was 8 business days.

This was my first factory new purchase and I'm quite happy with my new range toy.

After going through the goodies in the DD hard case, the 6 elander mags are nice but heavy compared to the pmags. After taking it apart and going through it it's a very fine piece, and the fit and finish is prefect. Only things I took notice of is the bcg looks to have almost much wear as my spikes bcg with many hundred rounds through it as well the finish is not nearly as nice but I'm sure it will live up to their claims of greatness. Second thing I noticed is the upper itself has barely any m4 feed ramps cut into it eg. not nearly as prevalent as my bcm upper. I'm sure it will be fine though. Ok enough being nitpicky from me.

Everything else it top notch. I swapped out the a2 grip for a magpul miad, ch got replaced with a raptor, installed the tango down stubby grip, surefire light, eotech exps2-2, vortex magnifier and swapped the moe stock for a LMT sopmod stock. Only thing missing is the flaming pig that should be here next week. The factory trigger is lighter than I thought it would be and imagine it will get even better with time

It's a little heavy with all these toys on it but it points nicely and should be fun to play at the range with. Should be out there wed if all things work out. Enjoy the pics

Thanks you guys, I'm so stoked to get out to the range tomorrow. One thing I was happy to see was the bolt has the upgraded Oring extractor where the bolt I just purchased for my gas piston system was just the regular spring/black insert.

Great gun and great people to deal with! They were extremely cool about a warranty claim that ended up being user (me) error and not a product defect. I got a free beercan sleeve out of it

Thanks guys, got up to the range today and had a blast broke er in with some 75gr hornady rounds, then a whack load of unmentionables and finished the day off with some of my hand loads. Without trying hard I was getting 3-4" groups at 100 with the unmentionables. The last mag of the 75gr were a bit tighter. I was shooting with the eotch and the 3x magnifier no rest just supported on the bench. Off hand the 25 and 50yd groups were nearly stacked. I was hitting the metal gongs at 200 nearly every time. This gun is a shooter! And not horribly loud even with the factory flash hider though I can't wait for the flaming pig to get here.

The down and dirty now. I trigger is a disgusting gritty experience. I honestly expected more from a rifle in this price range. Out of the box it didn't seem to bad but I think it was more the excitement of being in the moment. Once you try to concentrate on making a shot all you feel is sand and gravel. By far the worst trigger I've shot of all my ar's. I can actually justify spending the money on a aftermarket trigger now finally.

I wish I could post pics but my phones camera has bit the dust. I'll do up a full photo shoot next time I'm at the range.

Cheers

I thought the same thing with my Daniel Defense m4a1, but the thing is its a pretty standard combat trigger. If you are looking at doing precision shooting and upgrading the trigger maybe you should have went with the mk12? The Mk 18 is a cqb rifle, and in my opinion does not need a Gisele. But I know what your saying, you spend good money expecting good kit, I'm in the same boat. Just my 2¢

I don't expect it to be a long range tack driver but it almost makes ya cringe when you pull it. And I wanted something short again. A 20" 16"and 10.3. On a positive when doing double taps and even 10 round mag dumps it was almost easier to keep on target than pulling off slower strings. Might drop some fine polishing compound down there and dry fire the snot out of it

I put an SSA_E trigger in mine as I felt the stock one was a bit rough, it made a tremendous amount of difference for me.

picked mine up finally yesterday. CFO was really quick too. left vm and called me back in about 2 hrs.
Surprising how short this rifle is, and how skilled those who are using it on the two way range are with this thing to be so effective in what they do.

edit: also six mags. nice surprise because was only expecting 5. and 2015 calendar :dancingbanana:
