Well I just got home with it. I wanted a lightweight .22 for taking in the woods, and I found it to be super light. I have NO idea about my plans for this .22. I think I'll get a red dot scope. I seen a really cool front handle thing that opened up into a bipod! That was cool. It was on a vtr. I'll have to search for one.

Pics to come as soon as I go and take some!

OK who sells these and for how much?
And are they non restricted?

Seriously I want the one with the adjustable stock.

Yeah price wise depends where you go. I called a couple of different gun stores all different prices. I bought mine at BetterBuySports in Moncton, NB.

After the good ole tax man I paid $400 with 2 magazines. BUT I didn't have to wait for it in the mail.

It was $329 plus the mag and tax.

I paid a little on the high end but don't care, I didn't want to wait. lol

So far without firing a round, I love it!!!. I'll post up pics shortly.

They shoot pretty good. I have a red dot on mine and it was grouping less than a inch at 25 yards steady. Not great, but good for a plinkster with a cheap red dot on it.

I really like mine.

I want one of these in the worst way, are they as cheap as the price?

Yes they are. Almost the whole thing is plastic. They look decent though and seem to shoot decently, so at the price it's unfair to be super picky.

Now this all depends........

I mean I was personally looking for a cool looking semi auto rifle that was light. So with that being said, yes it's plastic it has pros and cons....

If I get it wet and muddy, just take it apart and wash the plastic in the tub. You aren't doing that with an SR22 it's metal and will rust. You have to oil them. But it is more likely to possible break I guess... Time will tell.

It all boils down to personal preference. I love mine and just came home from showing it off at two of my brother inlaws... They both loved it and really liked it. ( they both own guns and hunt as well. )

Tomorrow morning I'm taking it out to sight it in and take some pics for everyone.

Well today I did get the gun out. I took it out down to my father inlaws camp in back of my house to sight it in and go hunting.

I was very impressed at the inital first shots @ 25yards. Considering it had never been fired before. I mean my first shot was just a little low. I played with the sights and am happy with what I have it shooting for now. Once I get the Red Dot I'll get it dialed in as best I can.

Her are the pics and results.

And best for last...... It took me 3 shots to get the grouse. First shot through the alders I did hit it, but it ran a bit and sat down, I fired a second shot throught the alders and it didn't move, I then went to retrieve the bird when I kinda jumped up and flew about 2ft off the ground. I chased it until I had a good shot and it was mine. Super for tonight!

I find the sights hard to use out in the woods, but I do find it a better challenge! The gun shoots amazingly well. I use the Federal Bulk Packs of the 36grain hollow points. I fired roughly 400rds today without one problem. They ALL fired perfect. The trigger on the gun is excellent as well. I can honestly say I have NO complaints about the gun. I read a few people didn't like the mag release.... I don't mind it, just think it will take some time to get used too.

I am however looking forward to getting a red dot scope. This will help out a lot!!!

Overall........ I rate the Mossberg Tactical .22 a 9 out of 10. I'll knock half a point for the sights and half a point for the mag release. Other than that, a great lightweight rifle that is really accurate, all things considered!

I've ordered one from SFRC. What kind of red dot are you thinking of putting on it? I have a scoped CIL 310 (made by Anschutz) for a deadly accurate gopher gun, so I'm not really looking for one-hole group accuracy from the Mossie.

In all honesty shredder, for what I want to use my gun for.... I'll most likely just buy one at Canadian Tire. I don't need an expensive one. I can actually manage fine with open sights, but know I could benifit from the red dot.
