Hello to all,

I just got my PPQ 22.....and I like it. The frame is very similar to my PPQ M1 except to a small modification behind the trigger guard to adapt the new magazine release, a push button for the American market vs. a paddle lever on the originals PPQ. I prefer the latter style but I am very pleased with the new release on the M2, the button is well placed and the size is just perfect, easily reachable with thumb or index of the weak hand.

The PPQ 22 does not come with interchangeable backstraps as the 9mm, it has a fix grip which is equivalent to the size of the medium backstrap on the larger pistols. Ideal for small or medium hands but might not be great for shooters with large hands.

OK

Interested to hear about the trigger. I read that this is an internal hammer-fired gun, like the M&P 22....maybe even the same mechanism since they are both actually made by Walther. Would like to know if it's even remotely similar to your PPQ M1 trigger.

The trigger on the 9MM is better but the 22 M2 is pretty decent. The take up is about 1/2 the travel distance on the 22 than the 9MM but the reset on the 9MM is a more positive, crisp one with a very short distance (1/2 of the 22).
To be fair we should only compare the PPQ 22 with other polymer 22s and not with the 9MM wich has a grrrreat trigger.
I plan to go shoot it soon, I will have a better idea then......................
OK

I have a PPQ M1 that I really like but I would like to have the sights on your new M2....are they the OEM sights with the M2?
