I had 5 or 6 groups just over an inch, but I ditch those.
If I can get it to .750 MOA, I'll live with that:)

Brian dude, you really need .75 MOA? You realize the 1 and a bit MOA you have now if freaking awesome for a semi (heck even more so for an XCR) Don't bust a vein in your head trying to make .75 . If you do then good on you but I think with your rifle you should pat yourself on the back at the slightly over 1 MOA you have now. Well done.

Moe

Hey Moe, I hear what your saying, it's just that, that's all I got around here.
Shooting targets, all the time, rifle and pistol, twice a week.
So , messing around with the loads , breaks up the game.
But ya,I'm happy with those results.. I'll play around with those and see if they're consistent.
I just want to see how good this gun can shoot, consistently:)

Nice shooting. I've always said that mine in X39 shoots as accurately as an AR. I'd still pick an AR over the XCR, but that's not about accuracy.

Mine patterns like 12ga, though I don't use bench/bags/pods. I use my boots. :p

I want to see how well I can shoot, consistently. :)

Kidding aside, nice shooting.

Thats fine but you still should know what the rifle is capable of before you see what you are capable of. :)

Ya, I would think, first you find out what the gun is capable of,then you test yourself.
I wonder if all the guys who can't shoot MOA ,with certain guns, can't shoot.
Then blame it on the gun...:)....JK

Is that an out-of-the-box gun, or did you need to do any tweaking? Either way, congrats...and enjoy!

If you buy and sell enough guns, and properly test each one, you occasionally luck into a true gem. I recently did just that with a terrific Dominion Arms Socom, and I am now a firm believer in the old saying "It's better to be lucky than good!" :)

Now comes the true test: can you resist the idiotic compulsion, common among gun nuts, to sell or trade that gun off? We get a gun that shoots better than we have any right to expect, and then in a moment of weakness sell it when something else shiny comes along. Don't ask me how I know!

No tweaking, it started off as a 7.62, I changed it to a .223.
Brand new kit.
And I know what you mean, I had a new keymod, when they first came out, got sub MOA and sold it.
Think I'll hang on to this one,as I kinda learned, sub MOA ,out of a semi is good.

I love my xcr heavy barrel in .223 and 6.8 it's a tack driver as far as being a semi what I don't get is it loves norinco white box .223 from the 90s go figure still need to do some handloading for it to see what it is really capable of. I don't see where they get the bad rep of not being accurate out of the half dozen or so I have had the chance to shoot they all were very accurate rifles

Ya,,I find they're accurate with handloads. Best I've got with factory loads ,is about an 1 1/2 MOA.
I e still got some testing to do yet.

The best factory ammo I have shot with mine has been the old norinco ammo rite around 1 moa also the hornady zombie max ammo does very well gonna load up some of the 76 grain hornady match bullets soon and see what they do

So far my best bullit is the hornady 53 g vmax.
They shot sub MOA , out of both my keymod HB.
But, one liked Bench mark and one liked CFE 223
