My New Pup 8 1/2 Weeks Old

This is Tikka, I have had her for 3 weeks now. She sits, comes, almost stays and is now retrieving.

Now the real dilemma, what do I do with my 4 year old Lab mix? She has been a friend for 4 1/2 years. She flushes grouse and retrieves birds in the water only.
I can't leave her home yet I can't let here ruin my new dog.
I have 6 months, maybe I'll try taking her back to step 1?

I love labs, our lab is too crazy and wild to go hunting...He's in his terrible teens, and I don't really know how to train him for bird hunting

No but I do have a neighbour with "pet" pigeons, they live in his workshop, under the eaves next to the stove pipe. I keep telling him I am going to get a couple for dog training and he keeps saying they are his pets even though they almost burned down his shop on more than one occasion.

Wow, what a beautiful pup! You're going to have fun with this one!

Why not put some time into training the "old" dog--Labs and Lab crosses WANT to please. It only takes time.
