medium bore rifles on varmint stocks, with gloss scopes! :runaway:

let's not get all hung up on esthetics...they WILL work:rolleyes: ...the gophers, coyotes, elk, moose and bears don't care about looks....:p

I guess it's sorta like putting a laminate stock on a lightweight rifle...like a Ti....;)

the prettiest rifles will kill just as many animals as a Mossberg ATR, and vice versa. Im sure they're good shooters :D

No, really.....come on guys...

GLOSS scopes? hello 1972:runaway:

 :p

hey....I was in high school in the 70's....be gentle...:p it was a cool time....;)

I can't remember the last time I bought a Leupold NIB, or any other scope for that matter....I get them all used and I've never paid more than $250 for a VariX-II 3-9X (last one cost me $50)...and I've never paid more than $350 for a 2.5-8X....and never more than $400 for a 6-24X Elite 4000.......I don't get picky about gloss vs matte when I get them this way...:D ...the 2.5-10X B&L on the LVSF 223 cost me about $50 by my calculations.......so that's why they are gloss;)...when I do buy a a new Leupold NIB it will be matte...until then guys...you'll have to squint or live with it:dancingbanana:

Ted I'll answer that for you...his "will" shoot as well as mine as soon as he puts his purse down....the group I shot with it should go under an inch his first group with it was not that different.....next trip out to the range should be a bit better..the 350 will shoot....it is a nice package lots of punch in a managable rifle.....the big suprise of the day was my 358 was 100 fps faster with a 225 than my 308 with a 165...time to start pouring the coals to the 308

Yo Rinnie! :D

...................and your 308 has probably been killing game with aplomb.

Marg's little 20 inch 358 will get 225s to 2500 without leaning on it at all. Her 308 Ruger RSI pushes 165 partitions along at 2600 fps and has put many a moose in the freezer.
