My new Remington

I promised to post a picture of the Remington 40X that I bought from Reg.
The wife and daughter were out shopping so I setup the lights in the living room.
Put a 40X stock from Epps on it and a Weaver T30 I picked up at a gun show.
Hard to believe it's a .22.

Wow, great score on that original 40-x stock!
Sure looks better than the stock that was on it when I had it.
I checked epps website, you were very lucky to find one at all, let alone at that price.
Wish it had occured to me to buy the stock first, then sell the rifle.
The T-30 is a nice touch, vintage bench scope for a classic rifle. Everything just looks right.

The funny thing is, I have a fairly rare Remington 40X scope with external adjustment rings that would be perfect for the gun. However, it needs the old syle target block bases which this gun doesn't have.

It would go perfect on one of my BSA Internationals but they have such nice sights I don't want to scope them.

What a gorgeous rifle.... damn.... they don't make them that way. My CZ452 Varmint does not even come close.... sigh...
