Well, I was at the bait/gun shop yesterday and ended up coming home home with 2 new guns, boy was she pissed! Anyway, I got a stoeger 2000 semi-auto 12 gauge and a Mark II 93G Savage .22 win. mag. with a bushnell .22 scope 3x9x32mm. I took it out today to sight it in and I think I love my .22 its light, quiet and Deadly at a 100yds. This is my first .22 ever and I'm almost 30 I have had just about every gun but a .22 Wow are they fun!

Great to hear that Scott!! :)

The .22's can be an absolute blast; cheap to shoot, accurate, low recoil and quite. The savages are good deals as well. What sort of groups were you getting at 100 yards?

Now you need to get a .22lr ;)

I almost picked up one of those Mark II 93G Savage .22 win. mag's for myself a month or so back.
Very nice rifles, congrats. :)

I got slightly over 1" group for 5 rounds, resting it on the tailgate of my truck. It was my first day out with it I only put 15 rounds through it, just to make sure the scope was dialed in. I'm going to put my bipod on next time and try for some groups, I'll let you know.

Sounds good Scott.

You will find that your groups will tighten up significanly when using a rest. If your groups are still not as tight as you would like them to be you may have to free-float the barrel from the stock. Adding something as simple as an elastic band to the end of the fore-stock should help as well.
