I took my brand new Savage Mark II FV-SR Landry 22LR out today.
So far I am very happy with. Put 60 shells thru it today in some VERY strong southern Alberta wind.
I have a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire II 4X90 scope in it,
I also added a AR-15 A1 Flash Hider cause I thought is looks cool.
I am a saddle maker, so I made the sling for the rifle.
One thing I am not a fan of is the stock, it is quite flexible, and I don't really like the Alligator print on the stock.
I think a Boyds is in my future. Any opinions on the tacticool or the thumbhole style from Boyds?

here is a poor photo of the gun.

I shot 60 rounds thru the new gun today, it was a very very windy out and I am happy with the results.
here is a 10 shot group from 50 yards aiming at a knot in the plywood.

I can't complain about that kind of accuracy on a new gun.

Nice Group! I myself just picked up a used Mark II f at a gun show last weekend as my first rifle. Going out today to shoot it for the first time. I agree the plastic stocks seem flimsy. I ran a piece of paper between the stock and barrel and it doesn't touch but is definately closer on one side than the other. I'll probably be looking for a stock for mine before too long as well.

I like my FVSR--it's a plain black plastic stock--very accurate and completely trouble free. Got a 10 rnd mag for it, and it works great. Not a beautiful gun by any stretch of the imagination, but VERY functional, and unlike my CZ or Henry, I never worry about weather, dirt, bumps, scratches, etc......

Nice!! The Savage fvsr is a sweet rifle. I've had mine for probably 9 months. I love it.

I have mine fitted in a Boyd's pro varmint stock
Factory rail
Burris extra low rings
Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42

I painted the stock a nice matte earth brown. Can't catch the colour on camera. But it's really nice! Thinking about adding some od green.
