My new SVT-40

My new 299.99 SVT-40. This thing is a hoot. Pretty accurate too. The first 2 shots are about 1 inch apart next to the bull. The 3rd is waay high, there was a wasp buzzing around me!

I just got one in the mail on wednesday its dated 1943 .Still have to take it apart and clean it. I picked up a case of 880 rds and hope to try it out this weekend. It was nicer than I expected .

Nice! Make sure the piston is tight, they have a tendency of coming loose if its slack. Did you get her at Coastal or privately?

Coastal. The bore is a little frosty and they said if she didn't shoot they would take her back. She shoots really good though. Perfect for moose hunting. Almost no recoil. I am really pleased.

Very nice rifle. Being a 41 Tula, you KNOW it has seen some heavy combat and has a lot of history behind it!

Excellent, glad too hear she's a good shooter. My '41 is a darkie, and she outshoots my '43, who's barrel shines. Go figure. Do Coastal still go thru the CFC crap, or is it money, card, and out the door? The last deal I had with 'em was tied up for 4 days, for a number issue on all things, a SVT. As far as moose are concerned, I took mine last fall with my SVT at roughly 185yds,with open sights, so you got no worries there. Happy shooting, they're a blast and a half.
