My new to me Supermatch showed up in the mail today. Its in way better shape than I could imagine ,its basically brandnew. It came with a lot of extras, bore guide,4405 torque wrench,4734 hand stop/sling.global front sight with target lens,6702 micrometer sight, carring case, original owners manual and factory target.
It makes my MPR look like a toy beside it.I'm sure this will shoot better than me.The bore looks brand new.

Thanks again to Dave AKA the goldengirls for this beautiful piece of equipment.

are you a lefty?

Well it sure looks like he doesn't shoot from the "right" side ;) lol

Kidding aside, that is some fine artillery there! Both you and grauhanen picked up some sweet rifles this year and I'm walking down heartbreak Avenue with the flop of the Lilja project :( I'll be hunkering down in the Rab Lab over the winter to see if I can cook up a worthy competitor for you guys come spring time. Can't wait for the range report on this bad boy!

I'm going to see what I can do with the diopters before I try a scope. These sights are pretty awesome. I'm sure my crappie eyes won't help.
Heres the original test target 10 shots @50m

They can't be any older than mine and I find the target sight to be extremely addictive.
At one hundred yards of meters it would be my first choice for bench rest.

Oooh that test group is easily in the 0.1's! Care to measure it officially? Hey, did you ask AnschĂĽtz what ammo lot they used? Buy a crate!

Very nice. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to shoot such a high end Anschutz, for now I just have to be happy with my CIL's and maybe one day I can step up to the big leagues like you. Enjoy it.

Remember that German target sights have "Bei" written on the knobs, which means "by" in English.
Meaning direction arrows are to correct by where the shot was.

If shot is high correct in direction H ( German Hoch= high)
If shot is low correct in direction T ( German Tief= low/under).
Remember the expression "Stop, you low down Thief".
If shot is left correct in direction L (German Links = left)
R is Rechts right.

Thanks for the tip. I also downloaded 50m and 100m small bore targets to center my front sight on.

On the range I use a simple guide of:

1/2 bullet diameter per click at 50m, 2.5mm = less than half 5.56mm bullet.
1 bullet diameter per click at 100m, 5.0mm = less than 5.56mm bullet.

At closer range you need MORE clicks.
at 25m you need 4 clicks to move one bullet diameter.

Yours is the first Anschutz sight I seen with the windage knob on the left side of the sight. (for left hand shooter).
1813L, L for left hand.
Test out whether that reverses the direction of windage corrections.
Not aware of them making a separate windage knob marked for lefties with the directions reversed.

Can you post a close up picture of the windage knob?
Is it marked the same as this right hand version?
