I just love the CZ 557. I needed one in 8x57. Production with CZ's hunting line was way down in 2021, with only limited calibre and model availability. This is a March 2020 production. It got the usual Schaftol dark oil treatment, including the barrel channel and all parts cleaned. Nice Turkish walnut too. The windage may need a tweak; I will worry about that on Sunday.

Ahhh!!! 8x57. I love that caliber. That and 30-06 and… well, a whole bunch of others. That is a sweet looking rifle. Good taste!

Great choice of caliber. I wish more companies offered it

Epps has a beautiful Tikka T3x Forest with iron sights and SST in 8x57...

I'd take that over a model 85, but Tikka is not a bargain anymore.

CZ still ranks as the most sensible option, balancing price and quality. Tenda has both a CZ 557 Lux and Lux 2 in 8x57. These are early 2020 production. Only 30-06 was offered this year...

Nordic Marksman carries some pricey Anschutz 1782's with various stock configurations (German, classic, thumbhole) in 8x57...

So, yes, not a ton of options out there in this great calibre, but thankfully there are a few.

The three vendors noted above are site sponsors, so I hope I am not violating any CGN rules. :)
