I own a few Kel Tec products, Sub2000 and a SU16. I enjoy both of those rifles aswell but holding the RFB and comparing the fit and finish to the other two its almost as if it was made in an entirely different factory. Still has the polymer's of course which I personally have never found to be an issue, but everything on the RFB just feels like its built to a higher standard. I noticed the same thing with my friends KSG.

Exactly the same here..

Are you thinking about getting the barrel threaded, like the exclusive tan models, to be a able to attach muzzle brakes/flash suppressors?

Just not sure how easy that would be, being one of the unfortunate RFB wanna' be owners...

Considering it. I was looking at a DS model before I got this one but in the end brand new at retail in black won over used at a premium. My friend has a DS and a matching KSG in tan and they are quite nice. I am actually going to call Dlask in about an hour and ask if threading the barrel will void my warranty. It shouldnt because all of the DS models that came in Canada were originally sent to Joe at Dlask for threading and a custom muzzle brake.

Yea, I knew Dlask did the threading for the tan ones, and heard about the warrantee voiding issue, but I think you're right.

Let me know how much Dlask says they'll do it for, add to my research, thanks.

Well I just got off the phone with Joe and it seems to be a bit of a grey area. As everyone knows Dlask did the original threading on the DS models but he is not sure if threading a customers barrel will infact void the warranty. Im going to call Vault and see if I cant get a more diffinitive answer.

Now that we're seeing the rules easing on the threaded barrels coming up from the US, I wonder if they will send future model RFB's with threaded barrels to Canada, as is the case with the Daniel Defence rifles.

Time will tell....
