SAVAGE TR BOLT ACTION
real nice gun! has a wood painted stock. (looks like rocker guard) picked it up for a truck gun.

I just got a TRR. Which is exactly the same, but with a three sided cheese grater on the top.

The TRR's are selling around 580 in Canada, but I got one from Epps for 479.

Stupid Question: What is the purpose of having two harris bipod mounts?

quite a few tactical and varmint rifles are set up with two front sling swivels.

One is for Bipod, the other is for a sling attachment

That actually makes sense.

Beautiful gun, I`m trying to find one myself in 17HMR

Goble's in London has one in 17HMR around 580$, in stock. I bought mine for 480 from Epps last week in 17HMR. But they don't have any more listed (and mine is marked SOLD!).

I got a TR from Epps and it was $411 when everywhere else I called or emailed quoted me $490-$520. And so far I'm extremely pleased with this rifle as its performance has been flawless leaving me with zero complaints!

I almost bought one, but decided on the 10/22 instead as I already had a bolt .22. I also read about a lot of feeding issues so It kinda turned me off! Any range reports from you guys? How does it shoot?

I've got approx 250 rounds through mine (100 simply shooting fast with no focus on grouping to help break in the barrel). And as of now, 5 shot groups @ 100 yards are 1.250''-1.375'' using CCI Blazer. 3 or 4 shots are within 0.750'' but I always get one off by a good half inch. But I'm hoping as more rounds go through the barrel and I get more time to practice the groups will continue to shrink.

Spooky when that happens, right?....

Doesn't happen all that often around here... ;)

I had mine out today.

It took me about 5 shots from 15 ft to find the paper. I put the rest of the box through. By the end I was shooting a horizontally flat group at 100 yds, about 3" wide. I'm blaming that on not being used to the accutrigger (which I really like). I think I'm going to adjust it a little, but I like my new TRR lots.
