I'm a lefty and as many of you know someone who can't keep his tools from touching his rifles. So anyhow I was dicking around with making a sling work with my 858 and this is what I came up with:

I modified an old USGI m14 sling mount and it works perfectly.

I personally don't like single points. If you take a knee your muzzle ends up in the dirt. I also find it makes the rifle hang odd, and ends up bouncing the forearm and barrel off my crotch......

All you need now is to design a mirror image of the bolt so that it ejects up and to the left so the cases stay out of our face...lol

I've never had an issue with casings on this rifle, did you?

Either way our new scope rail with shell deflector should take care if it for you.
