You have probably found out now, the spring in the butt is the "omega" and the fire mechanism is the "cassette"
I have werder custom with a hexagonal barrel that has a perfect
bore, and rust free on the outside. It appears to be a modified pistol, from the front of the receiver to the back measures 5.42, my V spring has a Crack forming and I have not been able to find an inexpensive parts gun for a backup. At the gun show I purchased mine the seller had two custom Werders, like yours it had a spare omega spring but I took the other bc it had 100 cases. In hindsight sight, should have taken the other. I will look into Wolff springs for one and The Remington Model 8 has a carrier latch spring that may work with a little mod.
