So after dozens of changes to my original AR there is absolutely nothing left of it. It's basically A new rifle, I couldn't be happier with it.
The Rundown
Lower
ATR courtesy of "thepunisher"
Milspec Vltor Emod Stock
Midwest industries MCTAR-30HD
Spectre gear single point sling
Ergo Suregrip
Upper
Stag 5.56 Nato marked chrome lined 11.5" HBar
Troy Industries Quad rail
ProMag PM136 Flip rear sight
Eotech 552
Vortex flash suppressor
I haven't taken the lower out to the range yet. But I can honestly say this is the highest quality upper I've ever laid my hands on. They are pricey but well worth the money in my opinion thus far just by how tight things fit together, finish and the look (gotta love the skull and little maple leaf on the opposite side). Far superior to my Eagle Arms. Will make a better judgment after a range trip. I used to have a Magpul CTR stock on my previous AR and I'm much happier with the vltor, although it does not have a friction lock it is very sturdy and lots of storage for AA batteries for the Eotech. I find the ergo grip much more comfortable that the MIAD I had before as well. As for the upper I did manage to put 100 rounds or so through it a couple of weeks ago and it functioned flawlessly.
Here's a couple of pictures.
