My Norinco 1911 (NP29) Experience

Who does warranty on Norcs? I thought they were all buyer beware type guns with no recourse?
My hope is that with the US glut of guns now, that the prices will drop so low here that US guns are the same prices as Norcs. Like the S&W AR now. At least for a while.

Canada ammo has a limited life-time warranty.

I still have the barrels. I will slug one.

Did you ever get a chance to slug test any of your factory NP29 barrels?

I attempted a accuracy test last week with my NP29 with CamPro's 147gr RNFP FCP bullets. I was shooting off a Caldwell Matrix shooting rest out to 25 yards. My particular NP29 has a crisp trigger and functions very reliably after some tweaking but I could not get better then 8" groups !

Months ago I had posted that my barrel slug tested at .357"-.358", the CamPro's 147gr RNFP FCP bullets run .354"-.355" so obviously this is where my problem is.

For general shooting or ringing 8" gongs it is fine but for service pistol match type accuracy it is terrible!

I will either need to find some .357-.358" bullets around 147gr or the barrel will need to be replaced. :(

PS, this is not due to shooter error, I tested my other semi auto 9mm (GrandPower K100 Target) and was able to produce 3" groups off the rest at 25 yards
