Gunsmith was necessary to take the rifle appart without destroying it (locktite everywhere). Any AR one piece quad rail will fit a sr 22.

K. That's what I thought, just wanted some confirmation. I'll shoot mine stock for the summer and then have the quad rail installed over the winter. Wondering if I should go with a threaded barrell, or just see if the original can be threaded.... we'll see, I guess.

what did it cost to get the flash hider (sorry, the "muzzel break") on the barrel??

thats sweet.
But for $100 more you probably could have gotten a real AR
yes true, but you can load as many rounds as you like in a .22 and ammunition costs will give you the lead

The new barrel was threaded so you just screw your muzzle break on.
