Hey Everyone,

I went back to my parents place last weekend so I decided to build myself my powder/primer storage box. I enlisted in my father's help seeing as he's a WAY better carpenter than I am. We looked around the garage and found some 3/4" BC Fihr plywood laying around so that's what I used. I decided to put in a 3/4" divider in the box to store powder in one and primers in the other. Box has all brass screws, hinge, chain, handles. I wanted the word "Explosives" to have a bit of an old school feel so I went on the internet and found the Army style font. I then printed it out and my girlfriend helped me cut out the stencils by hand with a blade from a drywall knife. Then just spray painted with flat black paint.

Let me know what you guys think!

Looks good, but...

How much do you reload? Did you measure 8lb powder bottles' height? Will it fit?
I take it, the smaller portion is for primers, if you get Federal, they are LARGE boxes, you may not fit more than 3K primers in their factory boxes in there.

I googled Army Font and it came up with one site where you can type in any word and it'll give you several different types (Outlines, Full black letters, sizes...) So what I did was save the one I wanted as an image because I couldn't copy and paste. Used Paint to Cut the word in 2. Then I used Microsoft Word, put the page to landscape strectched out the piece of the word I had cut in Paint and printed them off on regular paper then cut out the outline with a blade from a drywall knife, just taped it to the box. Not a perfect paint job but I like it!

Nice box, I bit a similar one thats a little bigger, it only cost me $25, so if it turns out not to fit 8lb kegs, I'll just build a bigger on.

Good job
