My recent experience with XCR-L accuracy (Pics!!)

Got out to the range today to confirm my 100m zero with the Magpul MBUS Pro's. I was please with the accuracy I was able to squeeze out. From my googling I had read that I should expect 7-12moa with AR style irons.

That's quite the nonsense.
Here is today's target shot with an AR 10 at 100m , using my ultra cheap reloads:

my AR 15 shoots the same.

Yeah, thats quite a huge area. I'd expect the average joe to be able to shoot 5moa easily with iron sights, but I don't see much less than 2moa being possible with the big posts on AR iron sights.

Got my ACOG back from warranty just in time for CDTSA's 3gun match. Sent a few round down range to zero the optic. I was VERY impressed with how well this rifle spit out my norinco surplus ammo! I'm not sure if it's attributed to the new Wylde chamber or what but I like it!!

Here are a few 100m groupings shot with the mag resting on the shooting bench. Looks to be about 2". My old keymod XCR would group this surplus ammo at about 3.5".

That's sorta what I was getting at... lol The recent discussion was about iron sights. That's a very good grouping, but if it was done using an optic than it has very little merit in comparison to grouping size with irons..

That's with an optic, his rifle has no rear iron sight.
