I wanted to post pics, but it would seem I have no "attachment rights" yet so I will add a picture later.

I recently purchased a Dominion Arms 8.5" Grizzly as a bush and packing gun. But I quickly became obsessed to make it better.

I tore the whole gun down. Then Cerama coated it. Much better! Inexpensive. I used wheelers bake on ceramacoat.

I filed down the dimples in the mag tube to add a GG&G enhanced follower. This leaves the issue of not being able to use the knurled mag cap...wrong! If you elongated holes where the dimples used to be with a small drill bit, then mimic this on the plastic insert in the same spots you can use a small diameter rod to "pin" the insert in place. Flatten one end of the pin so it doesn't fall through and can still be removed. The barrel guide will cover it up and hold it in place. You're done! And no reduction in capacity! And your barrel will not loosen.

Next I added a remington 870 police trigger group, Blackhawks spec ops adjustable (AR style) stock, side saddle on the stock, remington 870 bolt and carrier, and a remington magazine cap, and an enlarged safety button.

Feels like a classic remington now. Looks great and works even better. With the retractable stock in its shortest position the OAL is 27 inches! Perfectly legal!

8.5" wow, I can't wait to see pics.

I've been considering one for a truck gun of sorts.

Please take some impromptu "tactical shots" for scale reference :D

It is hard to gauge the size of one of the coolest NR out there.

There you go ryan

The finish didn't come that way. I used a bake on Ceramacoat from wheeler engineering. Spray it wait, half an hour spray it, wait half an hour then a third coat if you like or bake at 300 F for 1/2 hour. Nothin says lovin, like a gun in the oven!

Bandicoot... I was worried about that at first as well, but I put a stronger spring in with the original de-dent ball bearing. Works like a damn and no accidental "off safe" situations.

The next I do, I might get it nickeled. Make a Marine version. I have a buddy that does the coating here. The deal he will give would be worth it. I already have all the internals off of a Remington 870 marine, so I can think of no reason not too!

What I meant was that the stock will slide on recoil and can be damaged by the oversized safety. If you Google Knoxx and oversized safety you can see what I mean. Hate to see your new rig get damaged!

Bandicoot.... I see what you are saying now! I had no idea this was an issue. So it looks like I will be changing it out for the Wilson Combat, scattergun tech safety. Good thing I had one on order already!! Thanks for the info!
