It being a recession and all, I decided to start saving some money on ammo and finally built a .22LR AR-15, just to see what all the fuss was about.......
Mostly built of parts I had on hand. The only thing I had to buy was a CMMG 22lr conversion kit and some mags. I already had the barrel..... a 14.5" government profile AR barrel from Dlask. It was an accidental creation of his when he grabbed a .22lr blank off the shelf instead of a .224 blank, so I got it cheap.
When I get a chance, I'll let you know how it shoots.
