My russian SKS

This is my new SKS just bougt it last week-end. It a tula 1950 part seem to be matching , I'm not a lover of the sks stock , i replaced it wit ha tapco stock , i put a bushnell handgun scope on it and i did a little improving of the mag release on it for the tapco mag , no permanent modification for the mag relase just bolted on it with a 8-32 bolt ,

yes i patented it , i will try to take a picture and show it

a home made mag release very easy to do, the only thing you need is a welder, buffer and 8-32 tap + the drill , this is just some 3/16 x1/2 steel flat bar

seem it have some ###X on the wooden stock , but probably a little refurbished , not refurbished symbol was found on it , picture of the mag release are now posted on the first post

i will leave it probably shinny like the bolt i just need some #600 sand paper to finish it and do the final polishing on it
