well, i've many other posts like this, so i figured i'd flood the server with more...

a couple guys i work with were talking up the SKS, the more i researched it, the more i wanted one...so i bought two, and a bunch of ammo of different types...lol

Here's my "collection" though i don't plan on collecting SKS's i wanted some variety...i still want a chinese one to butcher...(i know, i'm sorry)

Top with the detachable mag is a '54 Izzy refurb, stock and mag didn't match, upside down bottom is a 1950 Tula, all matching, will be fired, but not ####ed with. My izzy will be a hunter/shooter, the the Tula won't see much action but will be used on occasion with non-corrosive ammo, and my future chinese (not pictured :p) will be for all sorts of heinous experiments .

30 rounder... it's still not an AK.
And it's still his gun and his money to do with as HE pleases. Quit bashing everyone's gun because it doesn't conform to YOUR taste.

OP, nice guns. I don't have an Izhevsk yet, a nice find there regardless of the mismatched serials.

that doesn't make sense. of course it's not.

anyways, to everyone else, thanks for the kind words, i'm actually going to the range tomorrow. i wonder if they'll let me use chocolate bunnies as targets

and there's nothing wrong with keith's...if i invited you into my home and i offered you a beer, that's what you'd get :p so BYOB.

Yes, very nice guns.
Too bad your taste in beer wasn't as good!;)

But it came with a free glass:p.... looks like some non-surplus rounds lying in the center (or is just my eyes, they look brass?) I bought a box of soft points and choked at the price $25 for 25 rounds.... learning to reload is on my to do list...., nice rifles you have.....

the green laquer case on clips is MFS FMJ non-corrosive, the loose rounds are MFS soft points and are silver steel case...the soft points were around $15 for a box of 20. I have some Hornady SST SP as well, with the red tips. the grey laquer case is Sellier & Bellot surplus... witch they sell by the clip at my local canadian tire for about $4. i got mine by the crate from wolverine.

enlighten me, cause that's not at all how i stand when i shoot, lol...i know from handling the rifle that the mag is the center of balance, does that have something to do with it?

i'll read through it later, i just don't have time right now...

for the record, i've never actually used the 30 rounder, i don't even know if it feeds right, i just bought one cause i thought they look cool. Oh and i have considered using it for a bubba project to piss people off...you'll likely be one of those people, as you seem like somewhat of an SKS purist... :p stay tuned...
