I placed my order with Seb back in mid February. After nine months of waiting, Mr. Fedex brought me my new Seb NEO Gen II front rest today.

This thing is amazing. It operates with all the precision of a swiss watch. I am soooo looking forward to taking it to the range on Sunday. Of course now I have no excuses left for missing shots.

The photos don't do it justice. It absolutely gleams in the sunlight. I'm going to need sunglasses to manage the glare off it.

I saw that @ my dentist today i think.....

Very Good looking front rest! hope you enjoy it for a long long time!

nice I have one as well, got it in June and they work well, it looks like you got the new model (he sometimes changes things to improve) as it seems yours has the plastic locks for the front bag, nice touch, and yours seems to have a piece of aluminum on the left post to hold a cartridge box, nice touch, SEB also does a nice thing by having nuts for the legs to soften what you place the rest on and also to protect the leg point,

I have a MAX and another NEO on order, it will be a year I suppose,

now a few comments if I may without trying to upset you

1. try turning the rest around so the leg faces you and see how you like it (I like that way better)

2. SEB could have included more buttons for the holes that are left after assembling the rest (look at the front under the joystick to see the holes left after assembly)

3. SEB could have also included a spare small leg (when you turn the rest around it has a smaller leg on the side under the joystick and I can see losing that quite easily as it does not stick down far enough to get a protective nut on it.

also WHAT ARE THE SPECS ON YOUR GUN

thanks for sharing as I am unable to post pics,

you will enjoy it, it may be your best purchase in a long time

Yep, I did receive the newest version. Supposed to have an improved "uplift" to improve/smoothen joystick movement under the weight of heavy guns. I never had an opportunity to use the Gen I NEO so I can't say how significant the improvement is but this one just flows, Even under the full weight of the rifle it is smooth and silky but holds firm when you stop moving so no vertical or horizontal play.

The bracket on the left post is a timer mount. I still have to get a small timer and slide it on.

I will give it a try with the big leg facing me but I am concerned about weight distribution. Much of the weight is in the barrel hanging out the front. If I spin the rest around I lose the stability of the far front leg. I'm also not a fan of "Up for Down" on the joystick which is what will happen if I spin things around.

I agree about the buttons but that's really splitting hairs.

I'm not too worried about the smaller leg. The rest will be used for F class so it's going to be in the dirt all the time and that little leg is too short to be of any use. I have F-class pads to mount on the legs I just did not put them on for the photo.

I also have a Seb classic. It is also a tremendous piece of equipment but this is really a leap forward.

Gun is a PGWDTI single shot Coyote. Kreiger 32" pipe chambered in 7mm-300WSM. Jewell BR trigger, Robertson GBF stock and topped with a Schmidt and Bender 12-50 PMII scope in TPS rings.

Can someone give me the Contact info for Seb? I just see his old site with nothing about the Neo rest mentioned.

Contact info is stil the same as on the website. If you want specs and info on the NEO go to the forums at accurateshooter dot com and use the search function. Seb has a long running thread in there that he updates as new models and updates are available.

You order them through the us distributor, Ernie.

I ordered mine direct from Seb in Indonesia. It's faster than going through Ernie and the price is the same. I know someone who ordered a NEO from Ernie before I ordered from Seb and he was recently told his rest won't be delivered until sometime in 2014.

:( Well that sucks! When I contacted Seb I was told to deal with Ernie......time for a check-in email.

Thanks.
